G-Drive 4TB USB 3.0 - strange noises or....?

Hi,
i’m a fresh (few days) owner of G-Drive 4TB USB 3.0 - i’m really satisfied of speed and quality.
But my fears aroused strange noise when disk is not reading/writing anything (but still spinning).
Short video explain better what i’m talking about:

*contstant noise in the background is disk spinning.
0-5 seconds - strange noises when disk is doing nothing
5-17 seconds - disk is reading a video file (sounds ok to me, like other high RPM disk head)
18-30 - strange noises when disk is doing nothing
31 - disk starts to reading video file (sounds ok to me, like other high RPM disk head)

Is it normal, or it’s my G-Drive working strange?
Of course, noise is bit quiter, because i recorded video very close to disk. But still it is frustrating
and worrisome.

thank you for your help.

Those are standard chirps you can hear from a working drive. Nothing to be concerned about. One thing is some drives just do it a bit louder than other drives.

The type of noise you want to be concerned with is a click noise followed by a deep scan sort of dragging noise, its very unique but that is usually a failed drive noise.
