Does anyone know why and solve the problem where my “Shares” disapear if I upgrade to the latest Jave (7.25) on my client. In order to be able to see my shares again I had to downgrade to Java V6, I’m running 2 laptops one is Win 7 32bit and the other is Win 7 64bit.
It’s inconvenient to say the least as it stops me using the latest “bell’s and Whistles” in Java.
The later Java versions require all java applets to use a certificate issued by a “Trusted Authority.”
The WD software employs Self-signed certificates.
To continue using the later versions of Java, you have to turn the security mode down to “Medium” to continue to allow Self-signed certificates.
