Encryption

Good day,

I just bought a My Book Live Duo from Amazon.de. The product information at the Amazon page clearly shows that the My Book Live Duo offers “Password Protection and Hardware Encryption” (German: Passwortschutz und
Hardware-Verschlüsselung, with a big tick in the table next to the My Book Live Duo).

So I was surprised to find no reference to encryption in the spec document or the user manual and only cursory discussion of it here. The consensus at WD Community seems to be that the My Book Live Duo offers no encryption.

Who has more information?

So everybody knows what is happening: Looks like Amazon’s information is incorrect. WD has apparently asked them to change it. The WD My Book Live Duo does not offer encryption. A shame.
