Drive 2 Appears Bad After Firmware Update

Similar to this poster - My cloud EX2 ultra - second drive Appears bad - my drive 2 appears in my dashboard as “bad.”

Not sure if it is actually bad or if it’s just reading that way. Also can’t find any guidance in the help docs on how to tell. Looking for any info or pointers.

And my RAID is listed as healthy.

Also, if it is actually bad, can it be swapped out or do I need to buy a whole new my Cloud to ensure that if one drive dies I have a backup.

Thanks,
A.

Abstracted some stuff for security but this is what I got from running smartctl -a /dev/sda via ssh

It’s a 2-disk, 12 TB unit. Not sure if the User Capacity listed below means it’s only testing one drive or this is expressing total usable space.

WD60EFAX WD Red hard drives use SMR (Shingled Magnetic Recording) technology which is NOT suitable for use with RAID arrays.

Is there an application for which SMR drives are suitable?
