Create user using ssh

Just a quick question on how to make a new user without using the web gui,
So far i have created a new users (useradd person -p person1 -G share) and added the name to /etc/user_list however i still cant log into the account using monsta ftp (which i use for every other account)

any tips ?

no this doesn’t seem to work.
also using the original MyCould 3Tb
