Create private shares for folders?

Hi Western Digital Staff,

I recently purchased a My Book Live and have been using it or a week plus. I am having trouble trying to make a folder private and not able to access by the public. Because when I create a new share for a user, it only allows me to limit the user to access either videos, pictures or music.

For instance, if I want to limit the user accessing certain videos but not all videos, how am I suppose to do this?

Just put the videos into shares that the user can access.

Put the OTHER videos into a different share that the user CAN’T access.

BTW, we’re not WD Staff, we’re other WD users.

Hi,

I have created two Shares, but I don’t understand how to put the relevant files into Shares rather than Public files. I can only see Public files in Finder? Any advice welcome.
