Continuous Backup Question?

Hi All

As per documentation the continuous backup frequency option backs up all files from source to destination continuously when computer activity permits. That is if you are busy it stops it’s activity and if you are iddle it performs the back up. My Questions is  if I add a file to my source drive it will get backup eventually. How about if I delete that file will it get eventually deleted also. Or do we have a choice to keep to keep version of old data?

Thanks

Bat

No, the deleted file will remain in the back-up, and can be recovered/restored back later if desired. If you want to get rid of it, you need to manually delete it from the back-up.

Smartware is a back-up application, not a synchronisation one, and so-being in many cases you wouldn’t actually want it to start deleting files from the back-up just because they had been deleted from the original source drive (such restoration of deleted files being one of the reasons to do a back-up in the first place).

Thanks Darren for your Help.

Bat.
