Configure new My Book Duo 6TB

Hi

I have just started to set up and configure My Book Duo 6TB.

Can I mirror the drives by using the RAID JBOD then partition ‘drive 1’ so that I can use on ‘drive 1’ the ‘1st partition’ for back up and the ‘2nd partition’ for storage and access to photos and videos?

Then use ‘drive 2’ as a complete back up (mirror) of ‘drive 1’?

Or is there a better way to achieve this?
