Cloud Access problems

I’ve just purchased my EX 4 16TB and I am having quite a lot of trouble setting it up. I imagine I will become a regular here in the community!

The first issue is with accessing the NAS’s cloud features. I have registered for MyCloud and that seems okay. When I log in to the dashboard the cloud Access Status reads ‘Connecting. Trying to establish a remote access connection…’. 

Logging into  https://WDMyCloud.com and I am presented with the option of connecting to the NAS but when I click on it it tells me the device is offline.

Lastly, when I try to log into both My Cloud and WD Photos on my iPhone I cannot connect to the NAS. My Cloud connects to the device but when I click on it it just displays a ‘Loading…’ screen (and a mysterious 2 in the Activity tab when the page is blank). WD Photos plainly tells me ‘Device Access Disabled’.

 

I’m hoping there is an easy to fix solution to all these issues, as they seem to be suggesting the same problem. If anyone has an idea what I can do I would very much appreciate your help! I really want to love this new setup but I’m finding it’s multiple account logins and variety of apps extremely confusing.

All of those issues are related to your first issue – nothing is going to work correctly until the Connection Status reads CONNECTED.
