Just install ramlog - sleep mode works fine as is. I posted a script to flash the LED on P36 and just below it is a script (really just a command) to show what files are written in the last x minutes. This will help you identify what the system is writing to and if it’s logs, just redirect them to /var. They will then be managed by ramlog.
First of all, thank you Fox_exe for all the work you have already put into this - you can certainly see it is very much appreciated by the community as it is.
I myself have been waiting for something like this since I discovered the native system of the wdmycloud is pretty much useless to me.
However, to my problem.
I have installed the newer OMV (1.12) image you provided, using the autoinstall script and the run_… script afterward.
OMV runs and I can log on via ssh without any problems.
However, I encounter numerous issues with the ‘locales’ package. I simply can not install it…

Its revert mdraid to normal state (Need for easy change/revert firmware by my Autoinstall script)
About mycloud.local - just edit /etc/hosts and change to what you want (Or just delete “mycloud” and “local”)
What about if I install omv now, do I still need to run those commands or by any chance you updated your script? (sorry but I’m not sure about what they do)
You do not need to disable Samba but you need to ensure it sends its logs to /var, which can then be manged by ramlog.
hdparm -y /dev/sda
to make sure it spins your disk down. If it works, then install ramlog and the script.
Hope this helps.> I test with hdparm -y /dev/sda, my hdd enter standby mode at once, however it wake up a few seconds later, is it normal ?> I have installed ramlog, do i have to modified samba start file and ramlog file ? How to do it ?> Thx
