Can't access MyCloud through Windows

Continuing the discussion from "The handle is invalid" error:

I am having the same problem as the thread mentioned. I can’t find a more basic solution that works. There have been other threads and I have tried those, but to no avail. I can access all shares from WD App and web, but truly want to be able to use this via Windows.

That’s a very old thread with no further activity. Which operating system do you use? Is your unit’s firmware updated? Is your computer configured to allow network discovery in the Network and Sharing Center?
