Yes.  Another mkv of mine worked fine.  This one said ‘file type unsupported’ or something along those lines.

edit: yes it is the wd play I bought this on amazon.

Does the other one have DTS for audio though ?

Yes, but it wouldn’t matter as I’m bitstreaming to my reciever.  It played the audio fine.  Here’s the that file:

What Media server you use?

I tried it out ps3 media server.

Try use Mezzmo ( http://www.conceiva.com/productS/mezzmo/default.aSp))

The problem can be in the server. When I used Plex, HD of video braked, some mp3 too didn’t play, maybe you have a problem in the server.
