Brand new WD TV Play connects to wifi but refuses to play VOB file(s)

If for nothing else, transferring files from say, PC to player’s attached drive in a lot less time.

Not necessarily given the WDTV’s slow “CPU”. When I copied over some files my 100mbit LAN wasn’t maxed out at all.

Not talking about the current WD players.  Well, then it is another “upgrade” a “new and improved” WD media player could use – a better/faster CPU.  Copying files via my gigabit Pogoplug w/USB 3 drive is around three times faster (timewise).than to my Live Plus w/USB 2 drives.

I would like a USB3 slave port. Maybe that connects to the internal drive directly specifically for transferring files. Don’t see why this couldn’t be done. Just completely bypass the Hub, maybe a Menu option “Activate USB3 Slave” to activate that particular port would do the trick.
