Can the files backed up on a My Book Essential be viewed and accessed via the Windows Explorer function?

Hello,

Depending on the application or software that you used to create the backup, you should be able to see the files.

If it was with the WD Smartware, you should be able to see a folder called WDSmartware.swstor and the files should be on that folder.
