Access private shares via NFS

Is it possible to access private shares via NFS? I have a media player which connects to the Mybook Live via NFS. It can access the Public Folder but not the other folders which are private shares.

Using SMB, video files stutter when streaming, but when the same file is transferred to the Public folder so the media player can access it via NFS, the video plays perfectly

Azkal, maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this. You can do so either by phone or email.

I’ve a Dune Base 3.0 and I can connect to my MBL trough NFS (My Public map is Private).

I hope you can use my info/settings!

Hi Patje,

Currently that’s the only way I know to access the MBL via NFS. But anything inside nfs/public folder can be accessed by any one on my network and can delete or modify files files inside that folder as well. I want to be able to access the MBL via NFS on private shares so no one can modify the file inside it but me

Sorry 4 my wrong answer.

Stupid , of course my Public folder isn’t Private… it’s Public :cry:

I can’t acces my Private folder trough NFS.
