I tried to secure my WD hard disk to protect the data that I had downloaded on it. Here’s what I did:

  1. I opened Properties and deleted “Everyone” from the “Group or user names” section, as shown in the attached screenshot.
    Could you please let me know if it is possible to regain access to the drive? Thank you in advance.

Removing “Everyone” from the permissions means you’ve locked others out. To regain access, go to the drive’s Properties, and Security tab, click Edit, Add “Everyone,” check Full Control, and Apply. This restores access to your WD hard disk.
