6Tb My Book is SO fussy

I have 2 - 500Gb, 1 - 1Tb, and 1 - 3Tb external Hard Drives that run like champs. I plug them in a hub, run them all day all week sometimes never had any problems at all.

My only problem with them is that I am a file “hoarder” and I ran out of space. so, I purchased a WD 6Tb My Book external drive.

Now, this device goes to sleep on me ( after telling it NOT to …). The only way to WAKE the darn thing up is to re-connect it. I had it on a power strip before, and it’s now plugged directly into the wall outlet.

Shutting down the computer usually powers down the others, BUT NOT THIS ONE ! Am I supposed to eject this drive before powering down my computer each & every time?
