If we all agree to post this problem and our dissatisfaction with WD’s response on the various review sites (cnet, etc), perhaps WD will make this more of a priority…
Given the absence of any improvements or useful information about timing of fixes, I’ve decided to return my EX4. Put in an order for a Synology DS414. About 20% more expensive than the EX4 but it promises to be much faster and more reliable than the EX4. I’ll let you know how it goes…should have it by the weekend.
