WDC WD20EARS-00S8B1 v.80.00A80 Shame on you WD! Your sticker and warnings regarding XP limitations and “ready for use with all other OS” is misleading at best. Why does it report to the OS (OSX in this case, 10.6.3) that the sector size is still 512? From what I’ve been able to gather, this is some firmware BS that WD has so that the true geometry of the disk is not given to the OS. Advance formatting my **bleep**. This is more like a PR nightmare for WD I hope. You deserve it.
