Can I smash this thing with a hammer until it’s in tiny pieces, will it work then?

System restore (kept stuff/data) but still no access.
Setting up as a new drive, no, not allowed.
ADMIN no password, gives this message.
The user account entered is currently in use.
Contact the administrator or try again later.
RESET, 40 seconds version, new admin.
Seems to work.
That took TOO long to sort out.
