Incredible. I cannot see m2ts files!!! I could see them with the previous versions. Please solve it.

What good is the RSS feed except to advertise WD stuff to people who have already bought it??

There’s lots that can be done with RSS feeds.

No sound on m2ts files

Such as?  There don’t seem to be any options to add other feeds or anything…

via the WebUI or via the SMP’s UI.   Either way, the options to add RSS feeds are clear…

“via the WebUI or via the SMP’s UI.”
It’s like you’re speaking a foreign language…

Web UI:   The Hub has a WEB-BASED User Interface.   You can add RSS Feeds there.

Since you’re crossposting this in two different forums, I lost track and called it “SMP UI.”  Let me correct that:

Hub’s UI:   The Hub’s User Interface also has options to add an RSS feed.

Well, I went to the RSS feed tab and hit the option button on my remote and nothing happened…   So perhaps it’s not as straight forward to me as it is to you…

Ok I know I’ll probably do the rollback after give it a try but let’s install it, I have some .m2ts files I’ll write here if I had problem or not with m2ts and this new firmware…

There should be a ‘+’ option on the screen to add RSS feeds + type url (that will be nasty without a physical keyboard). In the manual PDF page 173 - book page 168 or chapter 14) from the latest WDTV Live this feature was in there from the start.

I’m very curious if we can also add video rss feeds so we can play e.g. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart or Colbert Report (which are also available worldwide i think at least it’s available in the Netherlands).

http://extechops.net/full-episode-feeds/daily-show.rss / UPDATE: this does not work it only shows the description/text

According to the WDTV box it does have Flash support i think but i’m not sure if this is the same version as e.g. ComedyCentral is using.

I think it would be good if the User manual would also be updated with the latest features of the Live Hub such as:

* RSS feed

* Recently added Internet Services such as: Hulu Plus, Shoutcast Radio, Spotify, DailyMotion, Vimeo, PlayJam, YouTube Leanback

Good to read that:

* the screensaver/audio bug has been resolved

* that there is a automatic ‘get metadata content’ feature in the latest firmware for movies, tv series and music albums. (it’s running at the moment here that will take some time before all my movies, tv series are done)

I wil certain test it to see if if now also find the metadata/movie image. I’ve just upgrade and noticed that tv series are also included. So no need anymore for manual work via the old solution: http://www.tonysown.net/XMLFetcher/XMLFetcher.html which uses http://www.thetvdb.com.

You now also can add other Meta-Source Manager then the ones that are selected automaticly for movie, music and tv series.

Hear hear!!

It might be better if you posted in the official feedback thread instead of here.

I agree. The Moderator should merge this thread into the offical firmware release thread.

I will post my observations in the offical thread.

Please close or merge this thread.
