I’d like to attach a portable USB drive to the WBII to offload part of what is on it (since it’s just about out of space). In other words, I don’t want to expand the WBII, I just want a fast way to copy files from the WBII to the portable drive (then delete them from the WBII) and figure that the direct USB 2.0 connection would be faster than doing it across the network - since the WBII is not exactly a speed demon.
You can do it. Once you connected it will show the usb drive as an additional share within the MBW, you can drag and drop files or use the copy manager on the net admin page.
