Wireless MyBook Y; drive gone

I have been using my WD MyBook wireless external HD for a long time. Last week however it dissapeared from “Computer” and only C: and D: drive is visible.

Right clicking the Windows Explorer on hte Task Bar I can see it and open it, however my Norton Backup program do not find it and I can’t back up my PC.

Any advice out there?

Can you please share the model of your drive. WD does not have a wireless My Book drive.

Hi again,

The My Book Live is not a wireless drive. If its not seen on the computer make sure the drive is properly connected to the router. You can also try a reset and/or power cycle.

The MyBook is running however it doesn’t show up as a drive in “Computer” file where it used to be

However it does show up when i Right-Click the Windows Explorer folder in task bar on hte bottom left of my screen.

Then you need to re-map the share.
