WIPED OUT PARTITION ON MY BOOK ESSENTILA EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE, now my windows XP does not recognize the HDD. How do I install a new partioion? Disk management does not recognize it either HDD is now in UDF and stiil shows Smartware.
That’s a good sign, if it’s showing the Smartware VCD partition without the drive on disk management, then it simply means the drive is locked: Open the Smartware VCD (UDF partition) and unlock the drive.
