Windows Backup I/O Error - 3TB MyBook

Hello all,

I have recently bought a 3TB MyBook - Model Number WDBFJK0030HBK-NESN and have the SmartWare set up to back up my HDD drive to the external storage. I also have my Windows Backup creating system images to MyBook, however it fails and states that
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

There are two errors in the event log. The first is

"The backup was not successful. The error is: One of the backup files could not be created. (0x8078002A)
