I plugged in my external hdd (1TB my passport) and windows 10 said that the drive needed to be scanned and repaired.
There was an empty and corrupted folder which I can’t seem to delete but apart from that and the windows notifications about needing to error check the disk, it still works fine. I didn’t scan it using windows nor repair it because it passed all three diagnostic wd driver utilities scans with no problem at all. No bad sectors or anything accdg to the scans.
What am I missing here exactly? Should I have windows 10 repair it instead?
I would have Windows repair it if it was my drive.
