I was advised in the shop that the device doesn’t need to be connected to the router by cable and once setup I could remove the cable and the device would connect to the internet via wifi. Is this the case? And how do I set this up?
Hello, welcome to the WD Community. The WD My Cloud needs to be connected directly to the router using a Ethernet cable. However, WD have a My Passport Wireless which this can connect to the wireless connection on your router, you can click on the this link for more information.
