Why no zoom?
This forum software is quite nice, but there is one problem:

I cannot resize the window (pinch to zoom) on my iPad. As this is a iPad mini, the fonts are rather small and hard to read.

Why that?

There seems to be some Javascript code to prevent it.
Could you please remove that restriction? Thank you!

Are you using chrome? If so that seems to be the issue. Pinch to zoom works normally in safari.
