Why not backing up external hard drives connected to laptop, to my cloud home

i have mycloud home and my passport ultra
my passport connected through USB to a windows 7 laptop which is connected to the same network with mycloud home

can you make some update so i can back up my passport or any removable device to my could home

Hi zander1989,

The contents of a external USB drive can be backed-up to a My Cloud Home device. As backup feature is only available through the My Cloud Home mobile app so USB Backups must be manually started from the mobile app then a directory will be created based on the USB Drive volume name.
