Why my PC doesn't work with my Book AV DVD expander

I connected the Book AV - DVD expander to my PC Windows 7 with the USB 2.0 cable. Then nothing else comes after the connection. No Menu from My Book AV shows up. I don’t see, in Windows Explorer, any drive showing My Book AV. disk. The only thing I found was that My Book AV appears in the list of external drives that I want to disconnect properly from my PC. as a I do for a normal USB disk storage.
Is it possible that I lost the internal software in my Book AV? If so, how can I reload it?

Hi chagae,

Is your drive is showing up in the disk management?

Hi Alex

Yes, I can see the following:
WD My Book AV 1020 USB Device

Hi chagae,

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

Hello Alex,
I did create a support case as suggested. No reply so far. In the meantime, I found a software that was able to format the WD TV disk in FAT32. I can now copy video and photos on the disk.
Now, I need the re-install the firmware in my WD TV. I searched for it in the WD website without success. Could you tell me where to find it or if not available a 3rd party software that is compatible with my WD TV DVD Expander?
