Why does my My Cloud EX2 send and receive data to an Amazon IP?

We have a limited internet connection at our office and when things start slowing down I find that our WD My Cloud EX2 is always listed at the near the top of data being sent and received. When I search the IP address it is an Amazon IP. This device is not setup to backup to the Amazon S3. How can I stop this device from sending and receiving data outside our LAN?

Hi, I believe that you can set the drive with a static IP address and remove the DNS, this should limit the connection to work only on LAN.
