When i connect the mybook drive, my system blue screens and restarts

Every time the drive is connected, the system tries to start the drive and then it crashes and restarts

How about posting your OS and did you unstall Smartware?

I’m running XP on a laptop.  I haven’t installed any software.  I connected it one time and it worked, but when I tried to connect it a second time, it crashed my system.  I’ve even run system restore, but it didn’t help.

Hi there, look under your list of programs on the control panel for anything that says “DLA” if you have an HP or Dell computer with the OEM version of XP that came with the computer, it can give you the BSOD with VCDs.
