My HP pavilion laptop Dv6000’s internal drive is dead, I need to replace it.
It is a WD Scorpio WD 1200B EVS - 60UST0 120GB.
This disk is not manufactured anymore. Do you know which disk I should buy?
Would the Western Digital Scorpio Blue WD3200BEVE 320GB 5400 RPM 2.5" work?
Hi, your hard drive model WD1200BEVS is a SATA 1.5 Gb/s HDD, check the link below for the list of models with the same SATA speed, you can also contact HP support for help on what models are compatible.
The poster, according to the Model number WD1200BEVS has a 120 GB Sata Drive.
In answer to the original posters question…
Unless there are specific limiits imposed by the manufacture of your laptop…motherboard chipset etc (better ask them) you have a lot of options for 2,5 inch Laptop Drives. WD Blue come in sizes rangging from little ones like yours up to up to 1.0 terrabytes (that’s a big one) Any 2.5 Sata will physically fit. Look here to make a choice. http://www.wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=800 Buy the largest that you can afford. Drives are pretty cheap.
