What is the most extensive way to do chkdsk on ntfs?

Hello,

I want to know as a maintenance measure what is the most efetive way to scan through my all ntfs drive searching for errors like bad sectors on windows.
I used CHKDSK /F /R am i doing right!?

I have WD10EZRZ-00HTKB0 WD Blue PC HDD 3.5" inside my desktop.

Can some one provide me the right information that i am looking for!?
