What is the difference between WD1000CHTZ and WD1000DHTZ

I know that the WD1000DHTZ comes with the heatsink and the WD1000CHTZ does not. They are exactly the same drive, but the price are different. So is the difference between the two? Are they RAID aware (use in a RAID array)? thanks!

Hi yes the Raptor drives have time-limited error recovery (TLER) which is what raid needs. The drives that have the icepack are better cooled, removing a drive from the icepack voids the warranty. So if you have the space the drives with the icepack are a better choice.
