So, I just got a new Dell computer with Windows 10 and it would not see my MyCloud on the network. I found this thread:…and it worked. I can now see and access MyCloud from within file explorer as I always have.
BUT…the big issue is, it is not password protected anymore…it just connects straight into it which I don’t like. I want to be the only one who can access this. It use to be when I clicked on it in file explorer it would bring up a box and I had to fill in my username and password for it to connect. My iMac still does it that way…but on my new Dell, and after applying the fix above to even find it on the network, it is not password protected anymore??? I don’t understand…any ideas?
