It doesn’t matter. You can’t format it on your Mac or PC. It’s an internal file system used only by its own operating system.
It’s using EXT4 the last time I looked.
Thank you for your reply. What does that mean in respect of FAT32 and HPS+ formats and it being compatible with macs?

Not a thing. The internal file system of a NAS is irrelevent to a network client.
