Hi yes that is high they are made to take 60c but that is the max so they wont run long at max temp. this site gives the specs on the drive. http://www.wdc.com/wdproducts/library/SpecSheet/ENG/2879-771435.pdf . I would blow out the laptop with air and make sure all the fans are working. Also do you have somthing access the drive make it run all the time check wih a process explorer or task manager.
The WD Black mobile drive is 7200rpm. I’m not sure what model of NUC you have but the tested components that Intel lists, that I saw, are 5400rpm. The NUC may not have sufficient cooling for a 7200rpm drive.
