Western Digital MyBook USB pushed in

Hello folks,

I have a western digital my book 500 GB and the usb slot has pushed into the harddrive. I was able to remove the usb slot

very similar to that model

and the back of the hard drive where the usb port is

has anyone had any good solutions for repair

I didn’t open the hard drive fully but I opened it enough to see the inside pins were still attached to the board

and it does not appear that any pins on the usb are broken

maybe soldering?

like everyone else need to pull info from off of it

Soldering has worked in her 30% of times, so try to get a quality job done. Good luck.
