Western Digital My Passport ULTRA "The parameter is not correct"

I used the drive successfully yesterday. I may have disconnected the USB cable (v. using the “eject”) function later. Today, when I connect it, the system attempts to read it but keeps saying it cannot access the drive and “the parameter is not correct.” I’ve connected it to another computer (no success). I’ve also restarted the original computer (no success). Any suggestions very much appreciated.

In order to resolve this issue format the drive in the NTFS file system.
