Weird My Cloud account sign in problem

Hello,
I just purchased a 2GB My Cloud Home unit. I installed the software and created an account. I can sign in from my PC fine but all attempts to sign in using the Android app always fail with an error stating “wrong email or password.” I reset my password 3 times with the same result. I also checked my email for typos and there weren’t any.

I am at a loss. Any help will be eternally appreciated.
