WDTV Live Hub Audio Output. Need DAC?

Hi peeps.

Im hoping for some advice. I really don’t want to buy a soundbar as they are expensive. But I want to have “normal” sound on my tv. Currently, the output via hdmi will cause dialogue to be low and gunshots/explosions etc to be so loud it **bleep** near blows the cones out of my tv speakers. Any suggestions of how to make the sound more “normalised”? If I listed to the same file on my PC with headphones, everything sounds even.

Why do you need a DAC, how would that help?

Have a look at the sound setup on your TV, you may find a setting which limits the sound.

You can also play the audio via the AV  output to any external amp.

Out of interest you asked this same question over a year ago.
