Ok,
So I was testing out the wdtv ethernet port prior to getting some cat6 cabling done. I cnnected directly to my laptop that can play the mkv file perfectly. Set up a direct netrowk and static Ip and could see the file in my wdtv live. Check laptop and network confirmed as 100mbps so ok so far. Start to play movie and it wll randomly start to stutter and lose sound etc recovers then after a while it does it again.
Here is the detail of the fil. Can anyone offer any explanation things to try wdtv firmware is 1.02.21 the file will play fine runnign from an attached usb hard drive?
Want to make sure before I go ahead with the cabling that these will run from a ds411j nas box.
Do you get better performance if you use a usb to ethernet plug?
I have also tried it with two other mkv’s and they all do the same. This happens on both the boxes I have both plugged in directly to the laptop.
