WDRED different label color (Black)

Hello
I warmly welcome
A month ago I bought a new WDC WD40EFRX-68WT0N0 disk. Everywhere on the Internet, the disc appears with a red tag with the WD RED inscription (upper and lower part of the information sticker). My drive has the entire black label reserved for the Black series drives. The disk in the system correctly reports the serial number, indicating the RED series. I was cheated? Is this a new WD drive labeling policy?
Thank you in advance for any advice.
Regards, gothica

You should have return this drive to the place of purchase to get correct drive.

I received information from WD support

Dear…

Thank you for contacting Western Digital Customer Service and Support.

Indeed, your WD Red has a Black label instead of the usual Red Lable.

According to the serial number, I can assure you that you received a WD Red internal Drive.
The reason the label is black is that your device is a recertified device.

WD recertified products may consist of customer return units and may be repaired. All products are tested and determined to meet WD’s stringent quality standards before they are sold as recertified.

I would kindly recommend you to contact your reseller in order to understand why you received a recertified device and not a new drive.

Of course, I remain at your service for any further information or assistance.
