Just purchased a wdmycloudex4100 (24TB) but when I check it says only 17.4TB remaining what the **bleep**?!?!
I have noticed on the screen it states “Power Supply 1 Failed” its all on and transferring files very confused.
If you are running RAID, you will get less than the total capacity of the drives.
Thanks for the reply. How do i change it so I can maximise the storage space?

sure, just re-configure the RAID arrary to JBOD and prepare the lose data.
what exactly is the point of buying a RAID arrary and run it WITHOUT any data protection

If you want just a single Volume then use RAID 0. There is no data protection on this either. But you will get around 22TB-23TB in capacity.
