While accessing music on iPhone 7 with iOS 11.0, the EX4 connection was lost displaying WDGeneralNetwork Error 401. It would not resolve without restarting the NAS and router. This was an aggravation because the restart could not be done before returning home where the NAS and router is located. What can be done to prevent this from happening in the future?

Tried that. Did not work. It is set up correctly. Have been using for over a year. The NAS had to be manually restarted for it to be accessible again. The main issue is that it is not correctable when accessing remotely.
