WDCloud suddenly asks for password

I never set a password for acces to any part in WdCloud.

Now it asks for a password to enter.

How can I fix this?

You can do a 4 or 40 second reset to go back to a default password. See how and what if does and how it works Here

Are you being asked for a My Cloud password or a network password? Providing an image of what you are being asked for will help.

Have you tried your network user name (Network Name) and password? See example image below of my network, both 2.4 and 5 GHz.

I don’t have an “external” router, so the WDCloud is plugged straight into my modem which is also
a wireless router.

When you said “network user name”…

And yes. I used the name and password from my ISP and it worked.

But it’s rather strange this happens after about a month using the device.
Something must have changed, but I don’t know what…
