I do not know why my hard drive is so slow. defragmentation proceeds very slowly. can I fix?

Are you just taking quick restore, or “full restore”
as quick only over writes the files, and doesn’t fully remove them.
Try full restore, and then see if it’s faster.
full restore may take hours, depending on how many files you got, or have restored earlier.
