I have two **WDC WD10EALS (Caviar Blue 1TB) **disks, but when I start WD Data LifeGuard diagnostics the SMART status is Not Available. I’m running 32 bit Win 7 OS. Any ideas?
Since you are using Microsoft Windows 7 as your base Operating System, do you open the application by means of a regular double-click, or do you open it by performing a right-click and selecting “Run as administrator”? If it is the former, then Microsoft Windows 7 may not allow for the application to provide all testing features.
