WDC RED + WDC BLUE = Problem?

Hi There,

I was bought one brand new WDC WC20EFRX - 68EUZN0 to replace my dying Seagate 6 days ago.

I installed this WDC RED along with SSD Samsung Evo 850 500GB (drive C), WDC Blue 1 TB dan WDC Blue 2 TB. All drive direct to motherboard on NON NAS or RAID system. Just a regular PC.

After this, there are many problems that come up :

  1. When I’m moving large files (>100GB) from any blue to red, the process is very fast at the first (could
    reach to 150MB/s), but after that, the speed dropped into 355 KB/s, and finally stopped.

  2. This red drive suddenly unplugged and plugged in by itself (it’s like plugging a flash disk)

  3. Emptying recycle bin is very very slow, even the file are very small (less than 1MB). File location is in
    the red drive.

  4. Windows Explorer are difficult to open drive RED dan BLUE when they installed together.

  5. All problem not happening when SSD + RED or SSD + 2 drive BLUE.

My highest gratitude to anyone that give answers to solve this problem.

Hello,

Please test the drive using the WD DLG Tool to see if there’s an issue with one of the drives.

If possible, also test the drive on a different system. This will help you to identify if there’s any additional problems.

I haven’t seen or heard about any reason why they might not work together.

and yes I’m gonna test this drive to my other PC.
